Description: Original November 1940 small magazine booklet. Cook's Digest "of all that is Good" Vol 1 No 1. This was the very first of a new monthly publication of recipes for anyone who cooks. 70 pages. Recipes are laid out 2 to a page, to make it easy to cut out your favorite and build your own collection. The recipes were provided by national brands, so each recipe shows which company submitted it- General Foods, Libbey, Heinz, Carnation. Knox Gelatin, etc. Soft cover small booklet, Wrap and staple bound. Structurally cook. All intact, no rips or missing pages. However, the coloring from the cover has bled in to some of the pages causing orange pink discoloration to some of the first pages. Back cover also is a bit faded but has a great ad for Victory Grocery Stores. Surface and edge wear. 5" x 6.5".
