All 32 pieces have magnets on the bottom of each piece.The chess pieces are produced by Anri Toriart in Italy. The company Anri has been a respectable high-quality producer of wooden products since 1912. The chess pieces are a cast composite material invented by Anri called “Sculptite".This beautiful set represent the famous Charlemagne, with other figures from that period.
