Description: This is the second known national issue for the Bureau of the Mint. These badges were made by the US Mint and individualized for each US Mint location. This badge is from the West Point Depository on West Point Army Academy grounds. West Point was not yet an operational Mint and was only a depository for some gold and a lot of silver. It came after the oblong badge and was used in the 1940's. It is unnumbered and in good condition. Rumor has it the dies for these badges are still kept at the Philadelphia Mint. This badge is defunct, no longer used and well over 75 years old, hence it complies with Ebay Policies. Own a genuine piece of numismatic history.
