The jacket will also show few signs of being handled. Excellent (Exc.): A record that has been played several times with proper care. There may be slight scuffs or very light hairline marks that do not impair the sound of the record. Jackets mayhave some ring/spine wear and discoloration. Inner sleeves/booklets may have some slight wear. Very Good Plus (VG+): You will probably hear some surface noise between tracks or in quiet sections of a VG+ record. It will have marks that tic or pop and may have scratches that skip. It is listenable record but may be unpleasant to some ears. The jacket will have serious problems. I ship lps in professional lp mailers with a sandwich of filler cardboard on both sides of the record for added stiffness. I also ship the vinyl outside the lp jacket to ensure no seam splits. After professionally cleaning the vinyl with a VPI record cleaning machine, I put the cleaned vinyl in a fresh sleeve and house the jacket in a new protective sleeve that seals so that no dust can enter. It's what I do for my lp collection and so do the same for the new owner of the lp for sale.
