Description: This is for an Antique 19th Engraving of St John's Chapel & St Cuthbert's Church and the New Barracks in Edinburgh; which is uncoloured, and was originally engraved for Shepherd's Views of Edinburgh in 1830, and re published in Edinburgh & Its Neighbourhood in the Days of Our Grandfather in 1886 by John Nimmo of The Stand, London; and this was printed on two tones of cream paper by The Ballantyne Press of London and Edinburgh. The engraving is approximately 6.50 inches wide x 4 inches high or 17 cm wide x 10 cm high. The print is unmounted, and it is in good condition and does show some signs of ageing, which you do get with these old prints, and is guaranteed to be genuine and over 130 years old.
