The exterior has light compressions, draglines and scrapes, most notably along the edges and corners. The rear hinges work correctly and the lid opens and closes smoothly. The latch is functional and has light finish loss. The wood finish is still intact. The interior has two form fitted molds. It is fitted to a 4" barrel revolver with a Target grip. There are also molded spots for tool, but NO tools are provided. There are no rips or tears, but there are a few light compressions on some of the leading edges of the revolver outline. The flocking is mostly intact but has slightly worn off where the gun directly touches the mold. Also, there is light wear in the molded tool area at the tip of the cleaning rod. Otherwise, the flocking blue finish is intact. This box has cut outs for the S&W tools, but tools are NOT included. However, it does have a manual and original packing material. This is a vintage wooden display box that will be perfect for your favorite S&W revolver. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
