Description: Royal Rudolstadt Beyer & Bock German Bowl 3 Footed Hand Painted Roses 1905-1929 Royal Rudolstadt Beyer & Bock German Bowl 3 Footed 1905-1929 Hand Painted Roses A beautiful ROYAL RUDOLSTADT Decorative 3 FOOTED LARGE BOWL from Beyer & Bock with elegant Hand Painted WHITE Cabbage ROSES, circa 1905-1929 Beyer & Bock existed from 1853-1931 and was started as a porcelain decorating shop. The company began porcelain production in 1890. Volkstedt has been a part of the town of Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany since 1923. The Royal Rudolstadt registration was obtained by Beyer & Bock and appears to have been used until the company was sold in 1929 to Edelstein & Zehe A.G. and production ceased. When reorganized and production resumed, newer Beyer & Bock marks were used with the company continuing in some form to as late as 1990. The mark on this bowl was used 1905-1929 and is cited in PM&M as mark #1-14 and in Robert Rontgen's Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain 1710 to the Present as mark #722. This cannonball footed bowl displays a beautiful painting of the reverse painted white cabbage roses highlighted by the use of green washes on the inside of the bowl. The gold is applied in a narrow band that accents its rim and the 3 cannonball feet are painted gold. The condition of this decorative bowl is excellent. We can find no defects or damage. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, rubbings, or scratches. Even the bottom of the cannonball feet have only minor wear from the bowl's sitting on the table. It really looks great. This stands 3 5/8" high and the diameter of the top is 8 7/16". Please view all pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
