On the underside of the base plate, it is marked REG. US PAT. OFF., MADE IN THE USA, and the name "Gillette" is contained in a diamond shape with an arrow. There is the letter "P" on one side of the base plate and the digit "1." The upper side of the base plate has the words PAT. NOS. ON PKG. Please note that a portion of the upper head has lost some of its patina. The item comes with Schick Plus Platinum blades. The original Gillette Razor was sold with Gillette Blades. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it an 8. The case: The case is about 5 1/2' x 3 3/4' x 1 1/2', with a clear plastic cover, although a portion of it has smudges, but overall is it is in a good condition.
