ALPA 11si 35mm CAMERA W KERN MACRO SWITAR 50MM F/1.9 LENS, HOOD & CAP IN THE BOX

Description: Rare export Alpa 11si 35mm SLR with Kern Macro Switar 50mm f/1.9 lens, lens hood and cap with the hang tag in the original box. The shutter fires at all speeds and seems in the ball park. The frame counter and self timer work. Cosmetically the body is nice showing very minor wear from careful use. There are a couple issues with the body. There is a separation in the glass of the viewing window which can be seen in the photos. There also appears to be a small crack or chip in the prism which can be seen in the far upper left of the viewfinder. I could not get a photo of it. You have to look for it and does not make much difference as far as viewing, focusing or performance goes. There is no impact damage on the camera so the only thing we can think is maybe it was caused by thermal variation. It's an enigma wrapped in a mystery. The light meter does not appear to work. The battery compartment is clean with no corrosion. The lens is clear with no fungus or haze. The focusing ring turns smoothly and easily. The aperture ring turns smoothly and the lens stops down correctly. The visofocus works correctly. The lens is clean cosmetically The lens hood and cap are in clean shape. The hood has one very small nick on the lip by the logo but no dents and other than that is pristine. The box is in great shape showing very little shelf wear. Just beautiful. The graphics are intact and clean and the hinge is un-cracked. Just so you know, we will not sell the lens or hood separately.
