Description: 330 page hardcover cookbook from the Settlement Center of the Portland Section, Council of Jewish Women, The Neighborhood House cookbook. This is from 1914, they sold out their 1912 first edition. This one is pretty beat up but it looks like it has all it's pages, though maybe 3 of them are torn out and crumpled a bit and just sitting in where they are supposed to be. Some writing in spots including a couple inked recipes, like one for quince honey (I just planted a quince tree last year, maybe in a few years I can try this). Lots of staining or foxing and edge tears and wear, also the hardcover binding is mostly loose at the spine and both the front and back covers have heavy horizontal creases, though the pages don't have that. Rare old cookbook. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows.
